T.J. Semptimphelter wore this Club Retro gamer during both of his seasons in the net at Arizona State.
Semptimphelter arrived in Tempe from Northeastern prior to the 2022-2023 season and promptly claimed the number one goaltender spot over incumbent Ben Kraws. The New Jersey native endeared himself to the maroon and gold faithful just as quickly.
T.J. put up a .913 save percentage in 36 games in 2022-2023 and a .908 save percentage in 26 games in 2023-2024 while also tying Joey Daccord for the school record for shutouts (8).
After the 2023-2024 season, Semptimphelter chose to transfer to North Dakota to play out his graduate season.
Arizona State introduced their 90’s retro jerseys on January 1st, 2022 to pay homage to ASU hockey’s roots and history as an ACHA hockey program. They were worn six times in the 2022-2023 season and five times in 2023-2024, including Senior Night both seasons.
T.J. Semptimphelter wore this jersey in four games in 2022-2023 and all five games in 2023-2024, posting a record of 5-4 in the retro jerseys. He made 202 saves on 225 shots in this sweater which was good for an .897 save percentage.
This jersey shows nice wear with puck marks scattered throughout the front and sleeves.
The sleeves of Semptimphelter’s jersey also show a good amount of pilling, particularly from his blocker on the right sleeve.
These jerseys had unique set tags that were created to honor the school’s ACHA roots and 2014 ACHA National Championship. It features names of players and coaches who were part of the program’s history.
It is also unique because it does not feature former equipment manager Jon Laughner or current equipment manager Corby Antropik’s name.
