Artem Shlaine transferred to Arizona State for his graduate season after serving as captain of Northern Michigan.
Shlaine’s impact on the Sun Devils was immense.
He scored 38 points in 31 games and was named as a finalist for the NCHC’s Player of the Year award. He also won the NCHC’s Three Stars Award after earning the most postgame stars in conference play.
The Russian born forward was also named as to the All-NCHC First Team and a CCM/ACHA Second Team All-American in his sole season in Tempe. Shlaine is just the second Arizona State Sun Devils player to be named an All-American, joining program legend Joey Daccord.
Arizona State made the switch from adidas to CCM jerseys in 2024-2025 due to adidas withdrawing from the sport of hockey at all levels. They introduced their new CCM home white and maroon away jerseys in August 2024 with a reveal video that emphasized the difference between ASU and it’s more traditional NCHC counterparts.
The Sun Devils wore their maroon jerseys in 16 games in 2024-2025.
Artem Shlaine wore this jersey in 14 games on the road, scoring 10 goals and 10 assists for a total of 20 points.
Shlaine’s jersey shows decent wear with several burns, pulls and/or runs, and small unrepaired holes. Most of that is located on the left sleeve.
There are also a few light stick marks and some loose threading in the crest.
These jerseys featured the NCHC patch on the right front breast. These sets mark the first time the Arizona State hockey program has had a conference patch on their jerseys.
The numbering and lettering was done by EPS. A set tag can be found inside all of these red CCM jerseys identifying them as an “Arizona State Authentic Game Jersey”.
