Benji Eckerle played 141 games across five seasons for the Arizona State Sun Devils hockey program.
Eckerle was one of the rare players to have played their extra graduate season at ASU under Greg Powers, and those 141 games put him at fourth on the all-time games played list for the Sun Devils.
Benji scored 17 goals and 32 assists for Arizona State in those five seasons.
Arizona State introduced these military jerseys inspired by Pat Tillman in November of 2021.
They wore them in two wins later that month against Bemidji State (11/24 and 11/26) and in another two victories in the 2022-2023 against Alaska Anchorage (11/11 and 11/12). They were worn again in 2023-2024 against Stonehill (11/3 and 11/4).
The jerseys feature a sublimated crest and an American flag patch on the left shoulder. The numbers are sublimated and the nameplate is sewn.
These sweaters also include a tribute to Sun Devils alumni Pat Tillman with a PT42 patch on the back above the nameplate.
Benji Eckerle wore this jersey in four of those six games. He wore this jersey in one game in his sophomore season, one game in his junior season, and in both games in his senior season.
Eckerle tallied one assist in the jersey in those four games.
His jersey has pretty solid wear for one of these PT42 sweaters with several repairs clustered on the left sleeve.
