Josh Doan was traded to the Buffalo Sabres from the Utah Hockey Club shortly after the 2024-2025 NHL season concluded.
The Arizona native hit the ground running in Buffalo, quickly becoming a fan favorite due to his enthusiasm and tenacity on the ice which helped power Buffalo to its first playoff appearance since 2010-2011.
Doan enjoyed a breakout season with the Sabres, scoring 25 goals and tallying 27 assists.
The Buffalo Sabres wore their Alternate Set 1 jerseys in eight games from October 24th, 2025 through January 15th, 2026.
Josh Doan wore this jersey in all eight of those games, scoring 1 goal and 2 assists in the sweater.
Doan also had his first career fight in this sweater on January 10th, 2026 against Ryan Strome.
This jersey is photomatched to six of the eight games, as well as to Doan’s fight against Strome.
Doan’s jersey has moderate wear with most of the damage concentrated in the shoulders which is fairly common from Josh’s jerseys throughout the years. The same kind of shoulder wear (via board burns) can be found in his maroon ASU gamer, as well as black Utah Hockey Club jersey.
Both sleeves of this Sabres alternate have unrepaired board burn holes which have helped lead to photo matches.
Inside the left sleeve is a burn hole in the white material that has allowed for the majority of the photo matches to this jersey.
There are also some light stick marks around the right elbow, along with some loose threading in the numbers and on the crest.
Buffalo has set tags inside these jerseys marking the jersey as an Official Game Jersey alongside a serial number.
