Brinson Pasichnuk’s sophomore season was a breakout one for the Arizona State defenseman.
The Canadian defender scored 26 points (8 goals and 18 assists) in 34 games and earned the “A” as one of Greg Powers’ alternate captains.
He went on to become one of the most decorated Sun Devils in program history.
Oh, and the second ASU alumni to play in the NHL. Not a big deal.
2017-2018 was the final season where Arizona State wore just two jersey styles; white and black.
Thanks to that, Pasichnuk’s black set game worn jersey has solid wear.
The neatest aspect of this gamer is the unique alternate captain’s “A” on the left breast. These were embroidered letters sewn onto a double layer Arizona state border outline and they absolutely pop on both the white and black sweaters.
The right sleeve has a few picks/pulls, board burns, and a small hole. Found on the left sleeve are three large unrepaired holes, board burns, pulled threads, and a loose thread on the sleeve #9. There is a large board burn below the “ASU” shoulder patch on the left shoulder.
The front of the jersey has loose threads in the crest and alternate captain’s patch.
On the back of the sweater we can see the unique numbers used on this set of black jerseys.
These jerseys had single-layer yellow twill numbers on the sleeves and back instead of the double-layer twill which was used in 2016-2017 and 2015-2016.
Pasichnuk’s jersey has loose threads in the nameplate and back numbers, particularly a long one on the #3.
