With the exception of a certain giant specimen in Boston, there has been no more bruising force on the blue-line in the past 10-15 seasons than Shea Weber.
The former Predators captain remains one of the most feared players in the NHL and for good reason. From his strength and grit in the corners to his incredibly strong shot, Weber punishes the opposition in both ends of the ice.
For #6, 2013-2014 was where he hit his peak offensively despite a very disappointing season for Nashville.
Weber’s game worn jersey has a few stick marks and board burns throughout the sleeves. There is some pilling on the inside, and the sleeves are custom tightened at the hems.
The right sleeve has 3 or 4 repairs below the elbow and the left sleeve has another repair above the white band in that goes around the elbow.
Weber’s career year was one of the few bright spots of the 2013-2014 season.
A lackluster roster and a long term injury to Pekka Rinne saw the team flounder and ultimately end up out of the playoff picture. It was the final season of the Barry Trotz era before the franchise’s fortunes would change for the better under new leadership with the arrival of Peter Laviolette.
