Ryan MacInnis, son of hockey great Al MacInnis, wore this 2016-2017 Inaugural White Set game worn jersey for the Tucson Roadrunners during their first year of existence in the desert.
MacInnis was a second round draft pick of the Arizona Coyotes in the 2014 NHL Draft.
The young forward made his professional debut in 2016-2017 with the Meeps as a defensive center.
In NASCAR, there is the saying “rubbin’s racing”, popularized by the movie Days of Thunder. In the case of MacInnis’ jersey, it’s clear he did plenty of rubbin’ in Tucson’s inaugural season.

The left sleeve of the jersey is absolutely covered with repairs. I haven’t taken the time to count them up accurately, but it’s at least 13. The right sleeve also has a few repairs, and both sleeves have marks and burns. The jersey also has a few stick and puck marks in the body and on the hem.
MacInnis scored 8 goals and added 9 assists while playing in every game in the Roadrunners inaugural season.
He would play one more year in the Arizona Coyotes organization before being traded to Columbus for Jacob Graves and a conditional sixth round draft pick. He played his first NHL game with Columbus in the 2019-2020 season.
