Philip Samuelsson was selected 61st overall in the 2nd round of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft by the Pittsburgh Penguins
He was later traded to Arizona and reunited with his brother Henrik in December 2014
Samuelsson won gold at the U18 World Junior Championship in 2009
He won the 2010 NCAA Championship as well with Boston College
Philip played in just 13 NHL games — 5 with the Penguins and 8 with the Coyotes
The defender finished his minor hockey career playing two seasons with the PF Changs 18U AAA team in Phoenix
He became the first player drafted to the NHL out of the PF Changs/Jr. Coyotes program
Samuelsson’s jersey was worn in both training camp and in his final four games in the NHL
