Keith Yandle is without a doubt one of the best defenders to take the ice for the Phoenix Coyotes.
He was also one of the most divisive due to his offensive nature, as is the case with many of the offensively prolific defensemen in the league.
Yands had the arguably the best season of his career in 2010-2011, scoring 11 goals and 48 assists for 59 points and being named an NHL All-Star. He finished fifth in Norris Trophy voting and helped lead the Coyotes to their second straight playoff appearance.
Across nine years for the then Phoenix Coyotes and current Arizona Coyotes, Keith Yandle played in 558 games and produced 311 points.
Yandle was also, albeit briefly, the NHL’s ironman for consecutive games played at 989 before being scratched by the Philadelphia Flyers.
The Phoenix Coyotes wore their black “running Yote” alternate set jerseys in 15 games during the 2010-2011 season.
Keith Yandle’s jersey is extremely unique among these black alternate sets that the club wore from 2008 through 2014.
With very few exceptions, the Coyotes produced only one set of alternates for every player on the roster. One of the two exceptions I’m aware of is this Keith Yandle gamer which has no alternate captain’s “A”.
Yandle wore the “A” in 11 of the 15 matches the team played in while wearing these jerseys. There is no residue showing any removal of the “A” so it’s safe to say this one was worn in those other 4 games as a separate set.
This jersey has very light wear which is not uncommon in Yandle jerseys.
There is a pull or two that is visible and some loose threading and the faintest of board burns on one sleeve.
