Gibson Homer was a fan favorite at Mullett Arena for the Arizona State Sun Devils across three seasons in the desert.
The 6’5 goaltender battled TJ Semptimphelter for playing time in 2023-2024 before emerging as the de facto starter for ASU late in that season. He entered 2024-2025 as the presumed starter but eventually lost games to Luke Pavicich due to a rough start by the team in front of him.
Despite never being the number one for Greg Powers across an entire season, Homer put up a .931 save percentage in 2023-2024 and a .919 in 2024-2025.
Arizona State debuted their new gold alternates after joining the NCHC during the 2024-2025 season. These alternates are a bit of a re-color of the incredibly popular Barry Bonds/Baseball jerseys from previous seasons. There are some differences; the cursive script on the crest is not the same as the Bonds jerseys, and it is also flat inside of angled like the adidas era jerseys.
The Sun Devils wore these jerseys in seven games in 2024-2025 after debuting the jerseys on November 16th, 2024.
Gibson Homer wore this alternate in two of those seven games, earning wins against North Dakota and Denver in the sweater. He made 27 saves in the 4-1 win over UND, and 24 saves in a 6-5 win over Denver.
Homer’s jersey has solid wear with puck marks on the front, in the crest, and on the sleeves and shoulders.
It has been photomatched to several photos thanks to how well the puck marks show up on the gold CCM fabric.
