Brayden Burke wore this kachina alternate for the Roadrunners in the 2020-2021 shortened season.
Burke has been a vital part of the Tucson Roadrunners these past two seasons and is just one season removed from scoring 52 points in 51 games in the AHL.
Despite his offensive success and the complete lack of offensive success for the Arizona Coyotes over the past several seasons, he has never seemed to factor into Rick Tocchet’s plans. This isn’t uncommon with the Yotes as both Conor Garland and Michael Bunting were left in the AHL for long stretches despite similar results to Burke before getting the call.
The team wore their kachinas in five games (2/20, 3/6, 3/20, 4/3, & 5/16) in the 2020-2021 season.
Brayden’s kachina alternate has very light visible wear.
There are two burns/burn holes on the left sleeve that are the most prominent bit. There’s a small amount of pilling and wash wear otherwise.
It is tagged by AHL Authentic.
The Roadrunners Kachina design continues to be one of the best in the AHL and arguably in pro hockey.
I still believe the colors work better together than the Coyotes’ own Kachina, though I do love both.
As for Burke, the 2020-2021 season wasn’t quite what he hoped but perhaps with a new head coaching staff in Glendale (and Jay Varady returning to Tucson), he might finally get that long awaited call-up.
