Taken with the 5th overall pick in the 2018 NHL Draft, the Arizona Coyotes and GM John Chayka have a lot of hope resting on the shoulders of Barrett Hayton.
This Red Set 1 game worn jersey was worn by Hayton during his very first NHL game on 10/10/2019 against the Vegas Golden Knights. He also scored his first NHL point, an assist on an extremely nifty one-handed play.
Hayton’s jersey has several repairs on each sleeve.
The left sleeve shows an interesting adhesive patch repair that covers 3 fairly large holes from the inside near the bottom of the sleeve. The right sleeve has a very thick repair above the white band, and another small below the white and red bands.
There are also a few assorted stick and puck marks on the jersey, though none of it is particularly remarkable and cannot be found in photos of Hayton on the ice.
Barrett Hayton played in just 5 games in this jersey due to either being scratched or being away with Team Canada at the WJC.
