Zac Larraza was selected by his hometown Phoenix Coyotes in the 7th round, 196th overall in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft, making him the first Arizona born and bred player drafted into the NHL
Larraza was selected for the USNT development program and played there for two seasons after leaving the desert, starting a pipeline between Arizona hockey and the United States program
Played in 134 games at DU, scoring 35 goals and 31 assists including 20+ points in three straight seasons
Zac scored 10 goals and 10 assists in the 2012-2013 season
Won the 2013-2014 NCHC championship with Denver University while serving as one of three captains for the team
Signed to a PTO with the Admirals in December 2015 where he played 10 games scoring 2 goals and 1 assist, including 4 games and 1 goal in this sweater
Larraza also had a brief stay in Tucson with the Roadrunners in 2017-2018
Zac Larraza is currently coaching with the Jr. Coyotes here in the desert
Zac Larraza’s white set jersey has moderate wear throughout
There are a few board burns, snags/bobbles, and the like throughout the sleeves and front of the body
Both sleeves show a large amount of pilling in the wrist areas
The right sleeve has a huge patched repair that is so big and strangely shaped it almost looks like a cutout on the elbow area of the sleeve
On the front, the WCHA logo is on the right breast with the United States flag on the left
The crest features a front number and wordmark logo in classic basketball jersey style
There are loose threads throughout in the lettering and numbering
Larraza’s jersey also has a few light stick/puck marks throughout the body and sleeves
One other interesting aspect is that this is an SP jersey masquerading as a Warrior brand jersey, with SP branding in the neck and a Warrior patch covering up the SP jersey branding on the back hem
