This Nashville Predators White Set 1 game worn jersey was worn by Shea Weber during the first half of the 2015-2016 season. It was Weber’s last year as captain of the Preds.
The jersey has decent wear including several repairs and marks throughout. Both sleeves feature repairs, with the right sleeve having a large one in the blue fabric near the wrist. The left sleeve has several marks in the blue fabric, as well as a large repair that extends from the gold band below the #6 on the sleeve into the white band and blue fabric area. The left sleeve also has a an inch plus line of red paint transfer just below the #6.
There are three also repairs on the bottom front in and around the gold and navy bands that loop around the jersey. On the back there is a significant amount of loose threads and fabric above the nameplate, almost as if the jersey was ripped or nearly ripped.
Weber’s jersey features the captain’s “C” and the 2016 NHL All-Star Game patch that was worn throughout the year by the Predators.
This sweater is a special one in the collection because of the history behind it. Shea Weber wore this while scoring a hat trick against the Detroit Red Wings on 12/5/15. It was the first hat trick by a defenseman in Predators history. It is photomatched to that game as well thanks to the repair on the left sleeve, making it all the sweeter.
The Preds wore their White Set 1 jerseys in 23 games from 10/13/15 to 1/14/16. They were also worn in the preseason.
Weber played in all 23 games and scored 6 goals and added 7 assists in those contests. He finished the season with 20 goals and 31 assists for 51 points, the third highest point total in his career to date.
