Peter Zhong spent three years at Arizona State and became the first Sun Devils hockey player to compete in the Olympics when he played for China in the 2022 Winter Olympics.
Zhong played in 15 games across three seasons for ASU and was never on the ice for a goal against.
The Sun Devils introduced their 1975 throwback jerseys in December of 2020 to widespread acclaim.
Created as a nod to the 1975 undefeated ASU football team, these jerseys featured a gorgeous sunburst logo and perforated numbering to look like the 1975 football jerseys. They are without a doubt the best looking jersey Arizona State has ever worn.
The set was worn in four games. Those games were December 4th against Notre Dame and December 18th, 2020 against Ohio State. After the new year they were worn in two more games on February 14th and February 15th, 2021 against Michigan State.
Zhong was issued this 1975 Sunburst retro throwback gamer during the 2020-2021 season but did not wear it on the ice.
