Lawson Crouse had a very interesting first two seasons in the Arizona Coyotes organization.
Crouse was acquired in the summer of 2016 as part of a salary dump by the Florida Panthers to shed Dave Bolland’s contract. He saw immediate time with Yotes, slotting into Dave Tippett’s lineup and playing in 72 games in 2016-2017. He scored 5 goals and added 7 assists in his rookie season.
The next season was much different, however. Tippett left the team and was replaced by Rick Tocchet as head coach. After playing in the first 6 games of the season, Crouse did not figure into Tocc’s plans and he was sent to the Tucson Roadrunners for some seasoning.
This move has paid dividends for the Coyotes organization.
In 56 games in Tucson, Crouse scored 15 goals and added 17 assists as he started to find his offensive game at the professional level.
Since returning to the NHL full-time in 2018-2019, the big winger has increased his offensive output year-to-year and was even on pace for a 20 goal season prior to the COVID pandemic ending the regular season early.
The white set jersey he wore in that building block season in the AHL has a nice amount of wear.
The front of the sweater has stick marks all over it, including a long mark running from the Roadrunner’s beak all the way below it’s skate. There is another mark near it’s opposite skate, and further marks in the hem.
The left sleeve has one huge, almost finger-width thick repair and another smaller repair. The #6 on the sleeve has several marks on it. The right sleeve has a cluster of repairs near the sleeve hem and puck marks in and around the sleeve number.
The back is pretty clean sans one tiny stick mark above the #7 next to the nameplate. Lawson Crouse has signed the back of it, as this jersey was auctioned by the team via DASH.
