Jim Johnson wore this beautiful white set game worn jersey while playing for the Pittsburgh Penguins during the 1989-1990 NHL season.
Johnson was one of the original architects of high end travel hockey here in Arizona with the PF Changs teams that eventually morphed into the Jr. Coyotes organization. His impact on helping the sport grow and become a player on a national level can’t be understated.
It is absolutely littered with stick marks, wear, holes, and repairs. The jersey is photomatched to a trading card where marks on the right sleeve, left collarbone area, and below the crest are all present.
This jersey is the first one I’ve owned that is part of the MeiGray vintage program and has MeiGray vintage docs, which also include a huge blown up photo of this card on cardstock quality paper.
