Jaxon Castor backstopped the Dubuque Fighting Saints for three seasons.
His first season was the club’s most successful, however Castor didn’t emerge as the starter until 2016-2017.
This jersey is from that season and was worn on DYHA Night on March 11th, 2017. DYHA Night is an annual event Dubuque hosts honoring the Dubuque Youth Hockey Association. They were auctioned off to fans after the game to raise money for the local youth hockey organization.
It appears Evan Fear was the starter that night, but there is a bit of wear on this jersey even though it should be just backup worn.

This is an extremely sharp jersey that is very reminiscent of the ones worn by Team North America in the 2016 World Cup of Hockey.
Castor’s jersey is pretty easy to match because even in the photo above you can see just how offset the nameplate is from the #40 below it.
It does have some interesting quirks, as well.
There is a large amount of pilling on the right sleeve near the sleeve numbers, and there are some long loose threads. These jerseys are also grey and blaze orange, instead of the familiar red of the Fighting Saints. I’m not sure why they are orange — it may be something related to the youth hockey programs.
The numbers are sublimated onto twill and sewn down. The nameplate is also sublimated Nashville style.
As a youth, Jaxon played for the Jr. Coyotes prior to being drafted in the second round of the 2015 USHL draft by Dubuque.
Castor parlayed his time in Dubuque into a spot on the St. Cloud State roster.
He was part of the St. Cloud team that made the Frozen Four last season, appearing in 5 games.
The 24 year old has also attended Arizona Coyotes training camp in the past.
