Jacob Shaffelburg joined Nashville SC from Toronto FC in 2022 and has earned his way into the hearts of the supporters of the boys in gold.
Shaffelburg’s speed and tenacity was one of the few bright spots for Nashville in 2024.
The club had a forgettable season due to a lack of incoming transfers and injuries, finishing 13th of 15 in the Eastern Conference and 25th out of the 29 Major League Soccer clubs.
The Canadian winger scored 2 goals and 4 assists in 26 appearances for the club in league play. 16 of those appearances were starts.
Shaffelburg wore this jersey during the back end of the 2024 season and it features the league’s Kick Childhood Cancer patch. Due to the patch, we can infer the shirt was worn on the road as Nashville uses a custom Kick Childhood Cancer patch at home each season.
Jacob made two appearances on the road where this particular patch would have been worn; August 31st against Orlando City and September 28th against New England. It’s unclear which match it was worn in (or it could have possibly been both), but it was definitely one of those two dates.
The jersey does show some small signs of wear and is signed by Shaffelburg next to the back numbers.
