Carson Kosobud 2020-2021 Arizona State Sun Devils Hockey Gray Set

October 16, 2024 in Arizona State Sun Devils, Desert Hockey Alumni

Carson Kosobud spent just one season at Arizona State, playing in 10 games for Greg Powers’ program before deciding to transfer to Alaska Anchorage.

Though his time was brief, Kosobud’s commitment was a big deal for Powers and the Sun Devils.

“Carson is big, strong, and can skate incredibly well," said head coach Greg Powers. "He'll be a welcomed addition to our back end and will make us more difficult to play against. He grew up in Phoenix and we're thrilled he's coming back home to be a Sun Devil."

The defenseman was another player who had spent time in Phoenix who the coaching staff had recruited to continue the desert hockey pipeline and show local products that there were opportunities for them in Division I hockey, as well as at Arizona State.

Kosobud finished his brief time in Tempe with no goals and no assists in 10 games.

Arizona State revealed their “storm” or “desert storm” gray jerseys in December 2019.

The jerseys were essentially a reverse version of the maroon away jerseys that been adopted in 2018. They did feature one unique addition in the form of a subtle nod the Arizona state flag on the upper part of the sleeve behind the sleeve numbers.

The Sun Devils wore their gray “desert storm” jerseys in 11 games during the 2020-2021 season.

Carson Kosobud wore this jersey in three of those games. He wore it in his NCAA hockey debut on January 4th, 2021, as well as on January 21st, 2021 and March 4th, 2021.

The jersey has light wear with a few board burns in the sleeves and some loose thread in the nameplate.
