Brinson Pasichnuk spent four seasons patrolling the blueline for the Arizona State Sun Devils.
The San Jose Sharks prospect saw the ASU program rise from new kid on the block and punching bag to being ranked and nationally relevant by his junior and senior seasons.
Pasichnuk is one of the most decorated players to lace them up for the Sun Devils.
He left the school at the end of the 2019-2020 season as the university’s all-time leader in games played, points, and assists. The defender scored 37 points in 36 games in his final season, finishing third in the nation among blueliners.
He signed with the San Jose Sharks on March 30th, 2020. Brinson became the second player in program history to play in the NHL when he made his NHL debut a little over a year later with the Sharks on April 28th, 2021.
The Sun Devils wore their black set jerseys in five games in the 2018-2019 season and six games in the 2019-2020 season.
Brinson Pasichnuk played in four of the games of this set in 2018-2019, scoring 1 goal and 1 assist. He appeared in all six games of the set in 2019-2020, scoring 1 goal and 3 assists.
His sweater has pretty light wear with board burns in both sleeves and two small unrepaired holes in the right sleeve. There are some loose threads on the sleeve numbers, as well as a few small marks on the captain’s “C”.
The back is relatively clean, with the primary wear being a nice slash in the hem that is actually an unrepaired cut. That slash is photomatched to the photo above against Michigan State.
These jerseys featured perforated numbers similar to the Vegas Golden Knights and other NHL teams, and they look great in person.
Arizona State was likely headed to it’s second straight tournament berth before the COVID-19 pandemic cancelled the 2019-2020 NCAA Hockey postseason.
In his final home game at Oceanside, Pasichnuk scored a hat trick on Senior Night.
You can’t ask for a better sendoff than that.
