Sean Dhooghe transferred to Arizona State ahead of the pandemic shortened 2020-2021 season.
Dhooghe had starred and served as an alternate captain with Wisconsin before joining Greg Powers’ program in Tempe.
The undersized forward packed a tremendous amount of tenacity and skill into his 5’3” frame.
He led Wisconsin in scoring in 2018-2019 and despite never reaching those heights with the Sun Devils, he was still an important part of the forward corps for ASU.
Dhooghe only managed 2 goals and 2 assists in 20 games in 2020-2021.
The Sun Devils introduced their 1975 throwback jerseys in December of 2020 to widespread acclaim.
Created as a nod to the 1975 undefeated ASU football team, these jerseys featured a gorgeous sunburst logo and perforated numbering to look like the 1975 football jerseys. They are without a doubt the best looking jersey Arizona State has ever worn.
The set was worn in four games. Those games were December 4th against Notre Dame and December 18th, 2020 against Ohio State. After the new year they were worn in two more games on February 14th and February 15th, 2021 against Michigan State.
Sean Dhooghe played in all four games this set was worn in and tallied one assist in those games.
His jersey shows decent wear for the limited amount of ice time.
There are board burns on each sleeve and two small unrepaired burn holes on the right sleeve. The right sleeve #9 also has burns on the bottom of the number. There are more burns on the left sleeve and one large unrepaired cut.
Dhooghe’s jersey doesn’t show much wear on the front beyond a small mark in the center of the crest that looks like paint transfer.
His jersey is also an extremely small size 50 which is a rare find in the game worn world. Most of ASU’s jerseys are 54’s or 56’s, so this one is an oddity for sure.
