Adam Clendening signed a one-year, one-way contract with the Arizona Coyotes on July 1st, 2017. Clendening signed for 650k and hoped to spend the season in Glendale.
Instead, he found himself spending most of his time in Tucson after suiting up for just five games as a Coyote. He was waived on November 2nd, and did not see NHL ice again with the organization.
Clendening’s time in Tucson was short as well, playing just 21 games for the Roadrunners before being traded to the Chicago Blackhawks in the same deal that saw former star prospect Anthony Duclair also leave town.
Clendening’s scored 1 goal and added 4 assists while with the team.
His jersey has some decent wear for it’s limited usage.
Both sleeves have multiple repairs, with the left one having a gnarly repair. There is also a large slash mark through multiple parts of the #4 on the back of the jersey. The right sleeve also has another mark going up from the #4 on that sleeve.
This Clendening is one of the few examples of a white set jersey from 2017-2018 in the hobby. Doubly so since it has a 2017-2018 set tag from Detroit Hockey Co.
Others were likely auctioned or sold by the team, however few have emerged in the game worn collecting community.
