Michael McCarron wore this gold sweater while playing with the Nashville Predators in 2021-2022.
McCarron joined the Preds from the Canadiens via trade during the 2019-2020 season.
It took a bit to find his footing, but “Big Sexy” worked his way into the lineup for John Hynes and now became a regular fixture in Andrew Brunette’s lineups as a checking forward and tough guy.
The 6-foot-6 forward is approaching a milestone with the club, as well.
McCarron sits at 19 fights in his four years with the Nashville Predators. The bar to break into the top 10 in club history is 21 and he could conceivably get that early into 2024-2025 now that he’s signed a two-year extension to keep him in Nashville through 2025-2026.
The Nashville Predators wore their Gold Set 2 jerseys in 13 games from January 1st, 2022 through March 19th, 2022.
Michael McCarron wore this sweater in all 13 of those games, scoring one goal and one assist alongside one fight against Buddy Robinson on March 10th, 2022 vs Anaheim.
McCarron’s jersey has excellent wear with quite a few repairs, burns, stick marks, and huge ripped out hole in the back armpit from the fight against Robinson.
The left sleeve has 3 large clusters of repairs and board burns below the elbow, plus another small repair cluster next to the sleeve numbers. There is just one repair below the elbow on the right sleeve and two above the elbow in the gold material. Near the wrist area is a large circle of residue that may be glue residue. That residue shows up in a few photomatches above. Stick marks are also in the area around the right sleeve numbers and just below them, and there is a decent sized burn mark in the sleeve #7.
Big Sexy’s jersey has one stick mark below the crest and the front is otherwise clean.
The most interesting spot of wear is found in the back left shoulder/armpit area. This is where there is a very large portion of the mesh that was ripped off the jersey during his fight with Buddy Robinson on March 15th.
