Arizona Coyotes prospect Lane Pederson scored nearly a point per game for the Tucson Roadrunners in the 2019-2020 season. He also had 16 goals in just 37 games, which was just 7 shy of his career high (23) which he set in 67 games the previous year.
Pederson has become an consistent part of the Roadrunners’ attack in his first three seasons in the desert.
His rate of production has increased each year, and it seems like it’s just a matter of time before he gets his first taste of an NHL game.
The Tucson Roadrunners wore their brand new kachina alternates in six different games (11/23, 12/21, 12/28, 1/25, 2/1, 2/22). They were scheduled to be worn on 3/14 and 4/4 but COVID ended the season early.
Pederson’s jersey has decent wear for a specialty jersey of this kind.
Both sleeves have multiple burns and scuffs which show up very well on the purple fabric. The right sleeve actually has one glued repair, as well.
The body of the jersey has a few scuffs and pulls, particularly on the front.
The right shoulder has a visible cut or scrape in the Tucson shoulderpatch that is also visible in a photo or two of Pederson from the season.
The vast majority of the Roadrunners kachina jerseys ended up given to fans and season ticket holders via in-game raffles. To my knowledge, this Pederson and the Kuemper Roadrunners kachina that is in my collection are the only two in the hobby currently.
Hopefully more will emerge over time, or DHC will be able to secure some for next season.
In the meantime, I’m pretty happy to add one that actually has a bit of wear on it.
