Jalen Smereck wore this red set game worn jersey during his fifth season as a member of the Tucson Roadrunners.
He is one of only five players who has spent time in Tucson each of the club’s first five seasons.
Smereck, along with Michael Bunting, Kyle Capobianco, Dysin Mayo, and Adin Hill, have been the constants and naturally some of the biggest fan favorites at TCC over these past five years.
Jalen Smereck skated in just 17 games for the Roadrunners in 2020-2021, scoring 2 goals and 4 assists.
The Meeps were scheduled to wear their red set jerseys in 10 games in the COVID shortened season, however due to COVID related postponements on February 18th and February 21st, two of those games did not happen dropping the total to 8 games.
Smereck wore his red set gamer in just two of those eight remaining contests, tallying no goals and no assists in the sweater.
Wear on it is very minimal outside of one repair on the sleeve, and despite several photos of Jalen from those two games I was unable to match it to anything beyond loose threads on the O’Rielly Chevrolet sponsorship patch.
