Jacob Wilson played in more games for the Arizona State Sun Devils than anyone else in school history.
Wilson spent 150 games patrolling the blueline and a portion of them serving as captain of Greg Powers’ ASU teams.
The Missouri native was the Sun Devils enforcer and iron man in his time in the desert. He added 9 goals and 35 assists along with a lot of hits and grit over those five seasons.
Arizona State introduced their 90’s club retro jerseys on January 1st, 2022 to pay homage to ASU hockey’s roots and history as an ACHA hockey program. They were worn five times throughout the rest of that 2021-2022 season.
Jacob Wilson wore this jersey in all five games including on Senior Night to close out his college career.

The right sleeve has four repairs and multiple board burns. There are two repairs on the left sleeve and multiple board burns there as well.
You can see a few light stick marks on the front of the jersey as well as the outline of the removed captain’s “C”. I’m not certain why Wilson’s jersey had the “C” originally as he had already ceded his captaincy to Colin Theisen by the time this set was worn, but nevertheless the evidence of it’s removal is very visible.
There is also a very large slash mark/burn on the right side of the jersey near the very bottom hem.
Jacob’s jersey has one red paint transfer slash mark on the back and the remainder of the large slash mark/burn from the front.
These jerseys had unique set tags that were created to honor the school’s ACHA roots and 2014 ACHA National Championship.
It is also unique because it does not feature former equipment manager Jon Laughner or current equipment manager Corby Antropik’s name.
